Risham, a handcrafted contemporary jewelry line by Srutiza Mohanty from Bengaluru, brings ancient form of beaded jewellery to light for the modern woman. The brand was born out of an abiding passion for reviving old art forms and making them relevant to modern times. A centuries old art form, this technique requires you to weave hundreds of tiny seed bead, one bead at a time, in various patterns and designs to form flat or structural pieces. The needle method, the bead loom and/or bead embroidery are used to create this work. True to their allegiance to the traditional crafts, they are deeply devoted to fine workmanship & quality - both in the products and women they train and employ.
