Ahmedabad is a paradise for shoppers. Happy faces, curious shopping enthusiasts and day-to-day exhibitions have become like a common weal here. But a few of us have time constraints. Unavoidable office hours, family commitments, projects and assignments keep us busy during the day and so, Merak- Ahmedabad’s first night exhibition gallery is here to put an end to all of this.

When it comes to fashion and lifestyle shopping in Ahmedabad, the scenario has always been experimental and distinct. From hosting fashion designers from best designing institutes like NID, NIFT, CEPT to encouraging platforms like designer boutiques, lifestyle and home décor, the city is now going to witness the only night exhibition gallery Merak.

Merak is the brainchild of Kshma Kheskani, a bright NIFT alumnus. She also runs a luxury prêt label Kshma & Devanshi with Devanshi Thakkar. As a young fashion designer, Kshma endeavours to highlight the efforts of Indian artisans through her label. She believes that fashion is not necessarily about the brands but it is also about discovering fresh talents and introducing sustainable platforms in the industry. Merak is her baby step towards bringing a next-gen shopping and exhibition space in Ahmedabad.

What can you expect at Merak?

The gallery space is open to all kinds of Fashion events, Creative workshops, Live music shows, Food yards or any sort of interactive discussions. An ideal place to sit, rejuvenate and bond with like-minded people! The icing on the cake is that the gallery also offers in-house marketing options right from posters to drafting content, thus keeping the promotional hassles of labels and designers at bay. Good vibes are all you will find here.

Merak is unveiling its debut show on 10 April 2018 featuring the works of women’s wear labels Msafiri, House of Kilti, Kshma & Devanshi, men’s clothing line Ekavidha, jewellery label Mortantra, Label Sneha, Left Handesign and Shwetapatram.
